We’re very much looking forward to Monday 3rd April when yMusic will be playing in the lobby. yMusic are a group of six New York City instrumentalists who NPR described as helping to shape the future of classical music. Exploring the intersection between classical and popular music, their unique configuration (string trio, flute, clarinet, and trumpet) has attracted the attention of collaborators such as Ben Folds, Bon Iver, José González and The Staves. yMusic also perform their own repertoire and for their show with us on the 3rd they’ll be presenting work from their new album First. Written by Son Lux, First is an attempt to build a record of chamber music which emulates the flow and structure of a rock record.
Showtime at 8pm with music from 6pm. Arrive early to get a seat on the sofas and listen to some new sounds with us.
