At Work

Last Monday Casper, Rasmus, Tatu and Mads – AKA Liima – moved into the hotel for a week. Up on the fourth floor they spent their time writing, rehearsing, playing new music, all of which premiered in our courtyard on Friday evening. It was a taste of things to come, when in one months time we’ll be doing it all again, but this time with 100 music makers, the results of ()

Little Scream

Little Scream – AKA Montreal based multi-instrumentalist, writer, and visual artist Laurel Sprengelmeyer – has just released her second album, titled Cult Following. And on Tuesday 28th June she’ll be bringing her own brand of grand-scale indie pop to the hotel for a show in our courtyard. Her music is lush and expansive and draws heavily on personal experiences – one of them being growing up “in a kind of Christian religious ()


This Saturday we will welcome the band Zmei3 to our courtyard, for the launch of their debut album, Rough Romanian Soul. The title of the album reflects the new style of sound that Zmei3 have created. An ode to Romanian music, entrenched with a deep history of regional blues and soul, set alight by the powerhouse voice of Paula Turcas! The album was recorded late last summer, live and outdoors ()

Sarah Neufeld

We are more than a little excited to welcome composer and violinist Sarah Neufeld back to the hotel next Wednesday evening 18 May. Sarah is a recording and touring member of Arcade Fire as well as Bell Orchestre, but is currently on a solo tour of Europe after the release of her second solo album, The Ridge. When we were building the hotel in 2008, we listened to a lot ()
