Let It Go
Live 2015

Iska Dhaaf, literally “let it go” in Somali, is an pure art-oriented duo. In pursuit of honesty, Benjamin and Nathan dedicate entire nights to their music production, not seeing the daily light for weeks. Inspired by Sufi poetry, their words are powerful and essential, while their rhythms are heavy and unsteady. What make them even more special is the enthusiastic and positive attitude to life and music they have. They´re definitely a ()

New Years
Eve 2015

After previous years of colourful, grand celebrations, this NYE, we’re focusing on the main ingredients: food, drinks and great company. The kitchen will be making a feast made from produce from this year’s favourite suppliers and serving it all in platters that are meant for sharing. There’ll be local vegetables from the Roberto’s natural farm just outside Berlin, sea food from the North Sea and venison from Brandenburg and plenty else besides. Come alone, ()

Thank You
Matze & Pierre

Thanks to Matze & Pierre from Mit Vergnügen for celebrating a lovely Christmassy evening with us. And of course, big thanks to all the musicians! Here are some impressions, sketched by Alexandra Klobouk.

Bar Food Friday:
Sake & Seafood

The 11th December sees the next round of Bar Food Friday. The idea is that we bring the restaurant to the bar for a night and serve up some killer dishes based on an ingredient theme and made with the very best produce available then paired with some great craft booze from the bar. Last time was Duck and Vodka and this time we’re doing Seafood and Sake. The kitchen will be making some tapas-style ()

December in
Michelberger

We have a full and festive Christmas season ahead of us here at the hotel! Our forest has grown this year and lost amid the branches you’ll find a wooden outdoor sauna hut glowing away every afternoon and evening through the month. The Glühwein will be flowing, the air will be biting and snowy; a truly Finnish sauna experience. Add a massage and you’re set!  Celebrate the season in our ()

New Idols Land –
The Beckenbauer Affairs

“I am happy to finally talk again about football in a circle of reasonable people” – Beckenbauer said recently at his first TV appearance in the midst of the ongoing investigation about corruption surrounding the FIFA World Cup held in Germany 2006. Welcome to the language of FIFA and Volkswagen. Institutions or corporations always find themselves mascots and messengers that connect whatever there is to connect with the regular dude. ()

Aidan Knight
Concert

We’ve decided to celebrate the arrival of the cold season with a warm Canadian voice. This Tuesday evening (24.11.15) Aidan Knight will share with his new album with us, a journal of his life that he wrote to keep track of his experiences. Each Other can be seen as the diary that he never wrote as a child and that he’s writing now to imprint the memories of his ideas, adventures and life steps. A moody, acoustic time travel in ()

Barfood Fridays!

Continuing on with our love affair with food and drink, we’re happy to present to you our Barfood Friday! A regular evening where the bar and kitchen get very close together. Alan creates small dishes out of one local product while Dominic matches it with complimenting craft spirits. This Friday we’re doing Duck and Vodka. So get ready for a foody start to the weekend and come along with an appetite! The evening will be accompanied by the special sounds of the Wayne Snow Band, with Wayne ()

Michelberger fancy pants:
The Hideouts

Together with our friend Sigurd Larsen, we built on our architecturally sharp room categories and added some hot shots to the family, something wundervoll: The Hideout rooms. Self-contained suites where you can hideout from the world and do your thing in peace. The rooms have lots of wood, are playful, luxurious, spacious and tactile. They come with sauna, kitchen, bath, rain shower and a bunch of extra sweets. There is second bed ()
