Our first clothes have arrived! For men, a shirt made from organic linen. And for women, a blouse made from silk, along with matching trousers. This Wednesday (17.12) we welcome SomeKindaWonderful to the lobby to play. These fateful devotees of a tiny bar in the suburb of Cleveland, Ohio started their journey together during a late night improvised jam session. After a combination of excitement and way too many drinks, they woke up the day after with the urge to record those melodies…. and of course a big hangover! This Friday evening we welcome Empire Escape to the hotel for a lobby concert. Empire Escape is a new version of a band that already exists. As change is always a sign of evolution, the band members wanted to give a stronger emphasis to this moment, celebrating their new start with a brand new name. “The band Ikaria had to die to let Empire Escape live” they said… As the new name brings (…)
It is unfortunately way too often that we forget the importance of reconnecting with ourselves …and truly being ourselves… with no external expectations to satisfy, with no responsibilities for making anyone else but yourself happy. And then suddenly the moment comes… And you start breathing … you start connecting with nature, you slow down and just seize and value the moment… You discover love for simple tasks and find joy (…)
New mattresses arriving!
I met a dog once. She was black. She had a white spot here and there, and a pink tongue that dangled happily from her mouth whenever she said hello or goodbye. She was the only one who took advantage of any nap opportunities at work and was always in a good mood no matter what the time. She didn’t work in my department but she oversaw it from time (…)
